No, we’re open to students from all types of majors to participate. Most of us have connections to synthetic biology as biochemists or bioinformaticians, but we also have students from biology, biotechnology and computer science among others!

How much time commitment is iGEM usually?

This is a difficult question to answer – we have regular meetings each week and several meetings of different groups, but it always depends on what you want to do. We’re happy for everyone who wants to participate!
